Alexandria, Egypt. The battlefield between the two camps.
(Drums and trumpets sound. Agrippa enters, along with others)
Agrippa: Retreat! We’ve overextended ourselves. Caesar himself is in danger and Antony’s army is larger than we thought.
(Drums and trumpets sound. Mark Antony and Scarus enter. Scarus is wounded)
Scarus: Oh, my brave emperor, we’re really fighting hard now! If we had fought like this from the beginning, we would have sent them running home already, with bandages wrapped around their heads.
Mark Antony: You’re bleeding quite a bit.
Scarus: I had a wound here that looked like at T, but now it’s more like an H.
Mark Antony: They’re retreating.
Scarus: We’ll chase them all the way into their bathrooms. I have room for six more notches on my sword.
(Eros enters)
Eros: They’re beaten, sir, and it looks like we’ve definitely killed more of them than they have of us.
Scarus: Let’s cut their backs and grab them from behind as they run away. It’ll be like catching rabbits. It’s a fun sport to run someone over when they’re trying to run away from you.
Mark Antony: I’ll reward you once for your energy and ten times for your bravery. Now come on and let’s go back.
Scarus: Okay. I’ll follow you. But I’ll be a little slower because of this wound.
